My good friends, Courtnay and Adam, began helping me customize action figures during the Super Neumanns project. After gathering some parts and pieces at a toy show, Courtnay surprised me with a custom Michael Jackson figure. Upon seeing it, my wife quipped: “Next make Prince!” A couple weeks later our doorbell rang. It was Courtnay and a fabulous custom Prince figure. Always one to push my luck, I said: “All I need is David Bowie and Freddie Mercury and we have a story!” This was the beginnings of the Playdate Workshop collaboration.
